Destiny Worship Center opened its doors to souls on June 12, 2004, with a starting group of 12 people – all of whom came into corporate agreement, each believing in the responsibility that comes with the community-focused purpose of ‘Destiny’ and the mandate placed upon its shepherd.

In a short time for such a young ministry, membership increased phenomenally in not just the form of quantity but of quality – spiritually gifted people that are supportive of Pastor Patterson’s vision to empower and motivate the people of God (inside and outside the church doors) to pursue their DESTINY. Since its beginning, Destiny Worship Center has evolved with the establishment of ministries such as: Destiny Chats – a roundtable bible study to minister to the whole man; the Destiny Men of Standard; the Divine Women of Destiny; Young and Destined - a fast growing youth ministry; Children’s Church; Big Brother and Big Sister programs; and Destined 2 Survive - a ministry designed to offer a second chance and to assist the believer in recovering from devastating circumstances that allows them to walk in complete victory. These include, but are not limited to divorce, single parenting, abortion, homosexuality, and battered spouses.

 As the scripture declares, “Eyes hath not seen, nor ears heard, neither has it entered into the heart of man the great things God has in store for them that love Him.” As Destiny moves effectively in ministry, displaying to the children of God that “Love Is What Love Does,” it is clear that the best is yet to come.
