Destiny Worship Center opened it's doors to souls on June 13, 2004, with a starting group of 12 people- all of whom came into corporate agreement, each believing in the responsibility that comes with the community-focused purpose of Destiny' and the mandate placed upon its shepherd.
In a short time for such a young ministry, membership increased phenomenally in not just the form of quantity but of quality ? spiritually gifted people that are supportive of Pastor Patterson's vision to empower and motivate the people of God (inside and outside the church doors) to pursue their DESTINY. Since its beginning, Destiny Worship Center has evolved with the establishment of ministries such as: Family Bible Institute (F.B.I.) a roundtable bible study to minister to the whole man; the Destiny Men of Standard; the Divine Women of Destiny/Destined 2 Survive; Young and Destined - a fast growing youth ministry; Children?s Church; H.O.P.E. (Helping Others Produce Effectively) and Hannah's Corner (for women) - these particular ministries being designed to offer a second chance and to assist the believer in recovering from devastating circumstances that allows them to walk in complete victory. These include, but are not limited to divorce, single parenting, abortion, homosexuality, and battered spouses.
As the scripture declares, "Eyes hath not seen, nor ears heard, neither has it entered into the heart of man the great things God has in store for them that love Him." As Destiny moves effectively in ministry, displaying to the children of God that ?Love Is What Love Does,? it is clear that the best is yet to come.
Vision: To aid the believer in achieving their god-ordained and predetermined purpose in life by preaching and teaching the Word of God and assisting the community with the ails of the inner city.

Mandate Exemplifying the truth of one simple salvation ? knowing the simplicity of His yoke being easy and his burdens light. To build God's people by: loving and by equipping them through The Word of God; preaching and teaching biblical truths that will cultivate gifts and strengthen the family; and producing true worshippers by activating gifts and launching them into their destiny.
